Raising the issue in Rajya Sabha through a Special Mention, BJD MP Dr. Sasmit Patra said that Kendu leaf is financial backbone of about 10 lakhs Kendu leaf pluckers, binders and seasonal workers of Odisha, mostly tribal mothers and sisters.
