Officer, suspect injured in Thornton shooting ...Middle East

DENVER (KDVR) — Thornton police are investigating a shooting that injured an officer and a suspect early Wednesday morning. FOX31's Jim Hooley was on scene at Thornton Parkway and Gale Boulevard where he said the shooting took place outside of an apartment complex. The area is west of Interstate 25 near Federal Heights. The scene is still very active and little information is known at this point, but an officer on scene told Hooley the shooting possibly involved one officer and one suspect.
