Mr. Roy Mathews Mr. Roy Mathews of the Defeated Creek Community died at the age of 65 on Friday evening July 19, 2024 at the HighPoint Health-Sumner in Gallatin where he was admitted July 10th being treated for thyroid cancer. Funeral services from the Hackett Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home will be conducted Tuesday morning July 23rd with Pastor Don Jones officiating. Interment will follow beside his brother, Richard, in the Gazebo Garden at the Defeated Creek Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Hackett Chapel on Monday from2 p.m. until 7 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. services.
