We no longer live in a Constitutional Republic in which no one is above the law; we now live in a Constitutional Monarchy in which the president has absolute power to order the imprisonment or even the execution of political opponents simply by claiming the orders were given as official acts of the president to protect the American people from “enemies” of the state.
