Around 5 p.m., APD said the shooting happened on Dryfield Drive, which is close to U.S. Highway 183 between North Lamar Boulevard and Payton Gin Road. APD said the suspect is considered to be armed and dangerous. Police believe the suspect is a Black man with black, short hair and a muscular build. He was last seen in the 1200 block of Larkspur Road, wearing a black shirt and pants. A phone alert was sent to residents nearby and APD asked others to avoid the area.
