The Misty Ridge Contracting St Cathryn’s Classic was played at the St Cathryn’s golf course, near Greytown, on Saturday, June 22. All golfers competed for the JS Nel (Pty) Ltd floating trophy, that has been in the club since 1993. The trophy was originally presented to darts players at the Kranskop Hotel, and when the hotel was sold, Daleen Nel donated it to St Cathryn’s. The shot gun start at 7.30am and then 11.30am made the swap between morning and afternoon fields a quick juggle, as carts used in the morning had to be used in the afternoon.
