WWE Hall of Famer Sika Anoa'i at the age of 79. Anoa'i, a legendary figure in the world of professional wrestling, passed away on October 4th, leaving behind a legacy that will be remembered for years to come.

Known for his incredible strength and intimidating presence in the ring, Anoa'i was one half of the iconic tag team The Wild Samoans along with his brother Afa. Together, they dominated the wrestling scene in the 1970s and 1980s, capturing multiple championships and leaving a lasting impact on fans around the world.

“My family and I thank everyone for the outpouring of support in the name of my father, Pola’ivao Leati Sika Anoa’i, who will forever be remembered as one half of The Wild Samoans tag team,” Reigns wrote on X. “My father had a profound impact on my entire family and we are forever grateful for the foundation he built for us. There’s no way to fill the void left by his passing but my sisters and I will do our best to represent him and his legacy.  Rest in Power, Dad. We love you.”

The news was announced on Instagram by his nephew, Jahrus Anoa’i.

Reigns certainly made his ancestors proud, becoming one of the biggest stars in the industry thanks to his role as the "Tribal Chief" in The Bloodline. That distinction was bestowed upon Roman by Sika himself back in 2020.

WWE Hall of Fame in 2007, Anoa'i's contributions to the sport are undeniable. His influence can still be seen today in the many wrestlers who have followed in his footsteps and continue to carry on his legacy.
