Columbia Roller’s coach, Eddie Shannon, was selected to be a coach for Junior Roller Derby’s U.S.A. team for the World Cup competition in Australia. Coach Shannon and coaches from other cities are tasked to create a team that represents America’s roller derby skill and values. When asked what he would be looking for during tryouts for the U.S.A. team, Shannon said, “Sportsmanship. That’s the big thing.
