(KRON) -- All northbound lanes of Interstate 880 were blocked late Wednesday night after a fatal crash involving six vehicles. The multi-vehicle crash happened at about 10:19 p.m. in the area of the Fremont Boulevard south off-ramp. A 56-year-old man from Newark was killed in the collision, according to California Highway Patrol. There were no other significant injuries. The identity of the deceased man is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. Northbound lanes were reopened by Thursday morning. No other information was immediately available.
