Northampton Saints vs. Bath Rugby 25-21

Northampton Saints and Bath Rugby ended in a thrilling 25-21 victory for Northampton. The game was a display of skill, determination, and strategic play from both teams.

Northampton started strong with an early lead, but Bath fought back fiercely, keeping the score close throughout the game. The match was characterized by intense moments of back-and-forth action, with both teams showcasing their offensive and defensive capabilities.

The rugby team were crowned champions of England for the first time since 2014 following a victory over Bath at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday.

An open-top bus parade on Sunday afternoon will take place with the squad and coaching team attending.

Radford has been on the coaching staff of the Saints since crossing codes and joining the club last summer. Tasked with organising and coaching their defence, it’s clear that Radford has had a huge impact – with the club going all the way and winning the final in his first season on the coaching staff.

Bare-chested and sporting a pair of white, tinted ski goggles in the post-match media conference, Lawes, who made his debut for the club in 2007, said he was frustrated on the final whistle as Saints "tried so hard to lose the match".

But that feeling quickly turned to joy and pride.

"It's everything you could want as a player," Lawes said.

"I would quite like to do another year but things happen, times change, and I'm going out on my own terms.

The players will also have time to mingle with supporters, show off the trophy and pose for photographs before they depart at approximately 3.30pm.

The event is free-to-attend and entry to the supporter area in front of the Guildhall will be open from 1pm. Anyone carrying a bag may be subject to searches upon entry. 

Please note; there will be no public access to any area of cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens on Sunday.
