Several people suspected of being involved in the kidnapping and murder of two Covelo residents last month were formally charged this week, the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office reported. According to the MCSO, Joseph J. Hoaglen, 37; Samson M. Joaquin, 23; Janet F. Azbill, 34; Britton L. Azbill Sr., 61; David L. Joaquin Jr., 26, and Joaquina P. Joaquin, 24, all residents of Covelo, were formally charged with multiple felonies including murder, kidnapping and torture by the Mendocino County District Attorney’s Office in connection with deaths of Kyle J. McCartney, 34, and Traci L. Bland, 48, both of Covelo. All of the suspects except for Joaquina Joaquin were booked into Mendocino County Jail
