HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – This year’s finalists have been announced for the annual Doodle for Google contest — and a Hawaii student is hoping for your vote. Katherine Bursack’s drawing, titled “Fairytales,” was selected to represent Hawaii in the kindergarten through third grade category. She’s a student at Mililani Ike Elementary. In this year’s theme students had to answer the following prompt: ‘My wish for the next 25 years is…” Katherine wrote that she wishes “mermaids to be in the ocean and dragons in the sky.
