According to the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to a distress call regarding an animal attack at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Monday, May 20. A mother and her 12-year-old son walking in the Firefly Overlook subdivision near Jordan Lake were attacked by four pit bills, with the mother sustaining injuries to her legs and left hand and the son sustaining multiple bite wounds on his leg.
