McDONALD — John Richard Strong Sr., age 92, passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, May 3, 2024. He was born March 25, 1932, in Niles, to the late John and Irene Kidd Strong. He grew up in Mineral Ridge, moved to Kinsman, then to Niles, and later, made his permanent home in McDonald. He had two sisters, Helen Strong Fusselman, who preceded him in death, and Novella Strong Barron, who lives, of Washington, Pa. He married his late wife, Jenny Strong, in 1974. She passed away in 2021. John had five children, Richard L. Strong, John R. Strong Jr., Thelma Strong Sindledecker, Esther I. Strong Markle, and David A.
