The non-injury blaze in the 2200 block of Garnet Avenue erupted about 1:15 a.m. Friday, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. Crews had the flames under control within about 15 minutes, the city agency reported. A resident of the apartment told firefighters the blaze started on a couch, according to SDFRD public affairs.
