As near as I can tell, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem’s qualifications for the job began and ended with her being eager to parrot MAGA catchphrases anyway. So, it’s no big loss. I use the past tense because she’s finished. Her career is over. To me, the most remarkable thing about the entire affair is that Noem appears not to have understood that she had basically written a political suicide note.
