Marvel Designer Ray Chan Dies at 56

Ray Chan's untimely death at the age of 56. Chan, known for his innovative and groundbreaking work in creating some of the most iconic superheroes and villains in the Marvel universe, leaves behind a legacy that will forever be remembered.

Chan's unique artistic vision and attention to detail brought to life beloved characters such as Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Captain America. His contributions to the world of comics and entertainment have left an indelible mark on popular culture, inspiring generations of fans around the globe.

Raymond Chan, a longtime art director in the production design department for Marvel Studios features, died Tuesday near his home in Wales. He was 56. His death was confirmed in a statement by the studio.

Chan was a regular contributor to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with credits including “Avengers: Infinity War,” “Avengers: Endgame” and the upcoming “Deadpool & Wolverine.”
