WARREN — Richard Dale “Shorty” Stevenson, 83, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, spending his last days surrounded by his daughter after a short battle with throat cancer. Richard was born June 19, 1940, in Leechburg, Pa., the third son of Thomas and Alda Knepshield Stevenson. On June 17, 1983, he married the love of his life, Nancy J. Love, and they spent the next 37 years happily married until her passing in September 2020. Shorty was a tow motor operator at Packard Electric, retiring in 1997. His service extended beyond his workplace, as he was a Vietnam veteran of the United States Navy. His loyalty was to his country and fellow veterans, as he was a proud member of the VFW Post 1
