Coachella 2024: Day 1 of the festival

Cultural by : (PRESSBEE) -

California, music lovers from around the world eagerly awaited the start of Coachella 2024. Day 1 of the festival promised to be a day filled with unforgettable performances, vibrant art installations, and a sense of community that only Coachella could provide.

The lineup for Day 1 was nothing short of spectacular, with headliners such as Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, and Tame Impala set to take the stage. The energy in the air was palpable as fans streamed into the festival grounds, ready to dance and sing along to their favorite artists.

Jessica Alba. You just never know what's going to happen out there, but it's a safe bet that each day will come with some high moments and some straight-up bummers.

Here are my three highs and three lows for Friday, the first day of the first weekend of Coachella 2024.

There’s more than just the big names to see. Other artists on our radar for Friday include Justice, L’Impératrice, Chappell Roan, Deftones, Sabrina Carpenter, Young Miko and Suki Waterhouse. And with rumors circulating that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are headed to Coachella, we’ll keep an eye out to see if Swift hops onstage with any of her friends performing this weekend.

Megan Fox. She had a straw hat over her long blue locks and wore jean shorts, a white tank top and black jacket. She was snapped throwing up a peace sign with social media influencer Charli D'Amelio.

The music paused for a moment and she spoke with the audience in Spanish and English, announcing their forthcoming tour — and revealing the meaning behind the message she’d teased earlier in the day “La loba se viene” (the wolf is coming). The message appeared on the screen behind the stage, and as she announced the tour, read the “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour,” reflecting the name of her new album — her first since 2017, which includes pop hits with Cardi B, Rauw Alejandro, Tiesto and more.

During her set, Miko—who had no special guests on day one—also performed some of the biggest reggaeton titles that made her a household name: the Bad Bunny-assisted “Fina;” “ID” with Jowell y Randy; “Chulo” in collab with Bad Gyal and Tokischa; and her Bizarrap session “Young Miko: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 58.”

“Coachella, I can’t thank you enough for having me here. What a beautiful vibe under the sun with all of you. We’re having a great time. This is good heat. From PR to the world, I’m Young Miko,” she said ahead of wrapping up her electrifying set with her Feid-assisted “Classy 101,” which earned her first Billboard Hot 100 entry last summer.
