Manchester United emerged victorious in a thrilling 4-3 victory over their bitter rivals Liverpool. The match was filled with tension and drama from the first whistle to the final one, as both teams fought tooth and nail for every inch of the pitch.
United took an early lead through a stunning strike from Marcus Rashford, only for Liverpool to equalize soon after. The game swung back and forth, with both teams trading blows and creating chances at either end.
Marcus Rashford scored a 112th minute equaliser in extra time, before Diallo’s remarkable winner.
United will play Coventry City in the semi-finals, while the FA Cup draw handed holders Manchester City a Wembley date with Chelsea.
While the usual suspects are likely to be in the running this season - Man United, Liverpool, Arsenal all included - it’s those without silverware lately who will hope to challenge into the latter stages, such as Newcastle, Tottenham and even Chelsea, who are without a domestic trophy in over five years despite European success.

The win not only secured bragging rights over their rivals but also boosted United's chances of securing a top-four finish in the Premier League. It was a night that will be remembered by fans for years to come.
It started perfectly for the hosts but then appeared to be swinging out of their clutches as Liverpool twice found themselves in winning positions.
However, United refused to throw in the towel and somehow came out on top in an instant-classic cup tie that will linger long in the memory.
Liverpool will see it as a missed opportunity in the Jurgen Klopp farewell tour, but they remain in the hunt on three fronts and will now need to go again when they return after the international break, with more key stars set to return from injury.
