March 16, 2024 (WAS MADANI) – The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) continue a brutal campaign in Sudan’s Al-Jazira State, south of the capital Khartoum. Since seizing the state capital, Wad Madani, in December, the RSF has allegedly engaged in looting, violence, and extortion for four consecutive months. Local Resistance Committees in Hasahisa reported that on Friday, the RSF killed eight civilians and injured nine others in the village of Umm Jaris. These attacks were allegedly followed by widespread looting of homes, private property, and even agricultural equipment. Similar incidents occurred in the village of Al-Halila Al-Halaween.
