SOUTHINGTON — Ruth Smith, 89, passed away Sunday, Feb. 25, 2024, at Windsor House in Champion. She was born June 10, 1934, in Fleming, a daughter of the late Oscar Oliver and the late Freda Boney Oliver. She married Adelbert Smith on Sept. 10, 1953, and shared many happy and loving years before his passing in June 2006. Ruth was a graduate of Southington High School and was employed as a school bus driver at the Southington Board of Education for 17 years. She was sensitive to her passengers and often made a point to share caring thoughts with them when they needed it.
