AMHERST, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) – UMass is expected to join the Mid American Conference in all sports starting in the 2025-2026 academic year. According to the website, “The Athletic,” the school is expected to accept the offer. This marks a return to the MAC for UMass Football, which competed in the league from 2012 to 2015. The school and the conference parted ways because UMass declined to bring all of its sports to the conference.
