NEW ORLEANS, La. (WAFB/Gray News) – A piglet who was being tossed around by a group of men at a Mardi Gras event in Louisiana is now recovering after a bystander stepped in. The Humane Society of Louisiana said a good Samaritan was watching the three men toss around what he originally thought was a Nerf football until he realized it was actually a frightened and squealing piglet. The witness said the three men thought the activity and the pig’s reaction was amusing. The man confronted the men, and they gave the scared animal to him, the humane society said.
