Bhubaneswar: A State-level Water Quality Assurance Cell (WQAC) was opened on Tuesday to facilitate improved water quality monitoring and surveillance with strong vigil and ensure zero failure in water quality parameters in the water supply system, starting from intakes to consumer taps in all cities across the State. The WQAC was inaugurated today under Housing & Urban Development Department today by G Mathi Vathanan ,Addl Chief Secretary . Er. Sisir Kumar Ratho, Ex-Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Odisha, has been appointed to lead the Cell as the Principal Advisor (Water) in the Department.
