February 18, 2024 (JUBA) – The Government of Egypt has donated a consignment of humanitarian aid for people affected by devastating floods in South Sudan. The aid, channeled through the Egyptian Development Agency, will partly support Sudanese refugees who fled to South Sudan due to the conflict in Sudan. The Egyptian Ambassador to South Sudan, Moataz Abdel Gadir said the humanitarian aid was provided by the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in response to an appeal that was earlier call from the Government of South Sudan. “The aid is estimated at 10,000 kilograms of medical and food supplies,” he noted.
