WARREN — A Brookfield man was sentenced in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court on Wednesday to three years probation after failing to register as a sex offender. Attorney Carlo A. Ciccone says his client Matthew Guthrie, 35, had his first offense in 11 years before failing to register. His attorney said he has 14 years left of having to register his change of address. During the hearing, Judge Sean J. O’Brien cautioned Guthrie about the severity of failing to register, which the judge said could have landed him 18 months in prison. Guthrie was found by the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office to be staying at his girlfriend’s mother’s home in Hermitage, Pa., with his girlfriend and her children
