Mr. L. B. Thompson Lifelong Pleasant Shade Community farmer, Mr. L. B. Thompson, was pronounced deceased at 11:37 p.m. Wednesday evening January 17, 2024 at the Smith County Health and Rehabilitation Center in Carthage where he had made his home since October 19, 2018 due to failing health. Mr. Thompson was 71. Eld. Scott Rigsby, Mr. Thompson’s pastor, will officiate at the 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon January 23rd funeral services from the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Winkler family lot at the Sanderson Cemetery in Pleasant Shade. The Thompson family will receive friends on Monday January 22nd from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. and again on Tuesday after
