NILES — Police picked up a Niles man Wednesday wanted on a robbery charge after a series of incidents at a local Family Dollar two weeks ago. Daniel Campbell, 43, was booked into the Trumbull County jail Wednesday after Niles police arrested him on a warrant originally issued Dec. 20. Campbell is in police custody with no bond, awaiting a pretrial scheduled for Jan. 3 in Niles Municipal Court. On Dec. 15, police were dispatched to Family Dollar, 231 N. Main St., in reference to a shoplifting incident. An officer stated in their report that officers were told that a male had taken items from the store about 5:30 p.m. without paying.
