Naoya Inoue, also known as "the Fighter," is set to face off against Marlon Tapales at the prestigious Ariake Arena. This highly anticipated match has generated immense excitement among boxing enthusiasts, as both fighters possess remarkable skills and an unwavering determination to emerge victorious.

Inoue, a Japanese boxing sensation, has established himself as one of the most dominant fighters in recent years. With an impressive record of 20 wins and no losses, he has proven his ability to outclass opponents with his lightning-fast punches and impeccable footwork. His relentless aggression in the ring has earned him the nickname "the Monster," instilling fear in his adversaries.

Jeff Fenech Marco Antonio Barrera, Erik Morales, and Manny Pacquiao and yet no one has ever assembled all the major belts. It didn’t happen when there were two, three, or four. Inoue has a chance to make that history but 31-year old Marlon Tapales (37-3, 19 KO) stands in the way.

Inoue's track record of achievement is phenomenal. He first won a world title at light-flyweight, in just his sixth pro bout.

Nonito Donaire, before dismissing ' The Filipino Flash' in just two rounds in a rematch.

A prime Tapales, who held his training camp in Baguio City, did a light workout for the media at the Elorde Plus Gym in Parañaque. Accompanied by coach Elner Fontanilla and his manager and promoter JC Manangquil, Tapales flew to Japan on Tuesday.

Just a few pounds off the 122-pound limit, Tapales said he’d go all-out to surpass Inoue, a four-division world champion already hailed as an all-time great like Pacquiao.

Tapales, a big underdog going into the fight with the Japanese superstar he will be facing in Tokyo, will indeed do something even the great Pac Man was unable to do if he defeats “The Monster” on Boxing Day, and that’s become the very first undisputed champion from the Philippines. It will be a tense night in the Philippines, with the masses all huddled around the TV sets, hoping their latest hero can do it. Live coverage will start at a peak 7 PM local time in the Philippines, so many millions will no doubt tune in.
