The samples from the 2016 Games will be selected by a risk assessment that factors physiology of sport, the individual athlete, country, and information from investigations and intelligence. The program for Rio will have two separate phases. The first will focus on athletes currently competing, with the goal of finishing before the Paris 2024 Games.
