A man was arrested for allegedly tampering with vehicles owned by the city of Ukiah after reportedly breaking into an enclosure near City Hall on Seminary Avenue, the Ukiah Police Department reported. According to the UPD, a city employee notified officers around 4:15 a.m. on Dec. 5 that two vehicles belonging to the city appeared to have been tampered with on city property. When officers investigated, they found doors to the vehicles open and “various tools located in the nearby bushes.” After speaking to the witness, officers reportedly learned that the suspect, identified by the UPD as James M.
