November 12, 2023 (JUBA) – South Sudan President Salva Kiir and the Chairman of the Sovereign Council of Sudan, Gen. Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan on Saturday held talks on the ongoing efforts to restore peace in Sudan.  The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Saudi-Africa summit in Riyadh. This was the second face-to-face meeting between the two leaders since a  violent conflict erupted in Sudan’s capital, Khartoum between the paramilitary Rapid Support Force (RSF)  and the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) on April 15.
