A Petaluma man was arrested this week for allegedly pulling a knife on and trying to run over Ukiah residents after being asked to move his vehicle, the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office reported. According to the MCSO, deputies responded to the El Dorado subdivision in the hills east of Ukiah around 3:40 p.m. Oct. 30 when it was reported that a Sonoma County man had brandished a knife when asked to move his vehicle after reportedly being parked on Vista Verde Drive for several days. While deputies responded, all local law enforcement agencies were advised that the suspect had left the area in “a red Lexus with Texas plates, (and) personnel from the California Highway Patrol and Ukiah Police
