RIO DE JANEIRO: Brazil’s government on Wednesday ordered the deployment of soldiers at several airports and ports across the country, to bolster the fight against criminal militias and drug smuggling, reported Xinhua. Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, commonly known as Lula, signed a decree which “launched an integrated operation to combat organised crime”, he announced on X, formerly known as Twitter.
