SUMMERLAND, B.C. — Highway 97 north of Summerland in British Columbia opened for two lanes of traffic, one in each direction, on Sept. 22, after repairs and mitigation following a rockslide on Aug. 28. Since Sept. 11, the highway has been operating with single-lane-alternating traffic as crews worked to stabilize the hillside. B.C.
