Bhubaneswar: The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Odisha Police conducted a raid on the office of Odia daily ‘Sambad’ here on Monday. The raid was carried out by the three joint teams comprising 12 officials of EOW over the loan fraud allegations. As per reports, an ex-employee of the newspaper had alleged the involvement editor of Sambad Soumya Ranjan Patnaik and other officials of the media house in the fraud loan scam. He alleged that the officials of the media house took a loan in his name without his knowledge. Several of employees of Sambad were forced to take personal loans, he further alleged.
