She was born on February 10, 1931, in Bowling Green to the late Roy and Bernice (Ollige)Sheldrick. She married Gerald Cromley on April 8, 1950, and together they raised six children. Gerald preceded her in death on June 25, 2017. Dorothy’s siblings were Ronald Sheldrick, Lucille Phillips Meyers, Lois Heinze, Richard Sheldrick, and Thomas Sheldrick. She graduated from Washington Township High School. Dorothy worked at the United Christian Fellowship, Wood County Prosecutor’s Office and Conneaut Elementary School.
