Layton Williams is the third celebrity contestant confirmed for the brand new series of Strictly Come Dancing. The multi-award-winning entertainment show, produced by BBC Studios, will return to BBC One and BBC iPlayer for its new series this autumn, once again bringing glitter, glamour and glorious dancing to homes across the nation.

Layton is best known as a stage and screen actor and has performed in London’s West End, giving performances as the title role in Billy Elliot and Everyone’s Talking About Jamie.

Layton's background in dance and performance may rub Strictly viewers the wrong way. ITV's Dancing On Ice was previously accused of being 'fixed' after professional dancer Brendan Cole joined its line-up. Meanwhile, nearly half of former Strictly winners have had dance experience.
Many talented dancers will be part of the show too. Professionals like Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Graziano Di Prima, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, and Nikita Kuzmin.
Other dancers joining in are Luba Mushtuk, Giovanni Pernice, Johannes Radebe, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Lauren Oakley, and Michelle Tsiakkas. Get ready for some amazing performances!
At the same time, dancer Cameron Lombard from South Africa won't be in Strictly Come Dancing 2023. He's taking a break to work on exciting projects.
Stage shows also include Thriller Live, Rent, Hairspray and New Adventures. He is best known on TV for playing Stephen Carmichael in the Bad Education movie and recently rebooted series. Other TV features include Beautiful People, Benidorm, The Cleaner, and I Hate Suzie. Layton is the voice over artist for the U.K’s first gay dating show, I Kissed a Boy on BBC.
