A Santa Rosa woman was arrested after her Jeep crashed and caught fire on Highway 101 near Ukiah Sunday, the California Highway Patrol reported. According to the CHP, Malia Donovan, 25, of Santa Rosa, was driving a 2016 Jeep Cherokee northbound on Hwy. 101 around 10:20 a.m. on July 23. Just north of Rivino Ranch Road, the CHP reports that “due to (Donovan’s) impairment, she made an unsafe turning movement” and her vehicle moved into the other lane of travel, where it collided with a 2019 Toyota Tacoma being driven by a 52-year-old Windsor man. Donovan then lost control of the Jeep, which went off the road, off the embankment and “crashed into the dirt shoulder, causing the Jeep to rollover.”
