The Smith County Events Committee is excited to host their 2nd Back to School Bash on Saturday, July 29th at the Historic Smith County Courthouse from 2-8 p.m. Public, private and homeschool students and families are invited to participate. Free school supplies and backpacks will be distributed. Yard Games and activities will also be part of the fun on the Courthouse Lawn. Last year over 800 backpacks and $10,000 of school supplies were distributed to students at the event and through the schools at the start of the year. Additionally the SC Events Committee donated food items to fill the schools’ food pantries. Sponsors for the event (listed above) make this event a success.
