BLOOMDALE – Elmwood Local Schools has accepted one last resignation, but any additional ones may not be approved. At Monday’s meeting, the board of education accepted the letter of resignation from third grade teacher Kalista Thain, effective Aug. 10. Superintendent Tony Borton said the 10th was the last day teachers could resign without penalty, and he may not recommend for approval any additional requests. “At this point, we need to start locking staff down,” he said. Any teacher who resigns without board approval may have their license held by the Ohio Department of Education, he said. Borton said in the past the district has had a couple of teachers leave in August, but that was allowed
