The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the western slope of the northern Sierra Nevada from 4 AM Saturday to 4 PM Tuesday. Additionally, a Winter Storm Watch is in effect for Yosemite National Park above 6,000 feet, from Saturday evening through late Tuesday night. Heavy snow is possible due to a couple of systems. Snow levels will mostly be around 4,000 to 5,000 feet this weekend, but will gradually rise to 7,000 to 8,000 feet beginning Sunday night into Monday, before lowering again Monday night into Tuesday.
