A Ukiah man was arrested recently for alleged possession of methamphetamine and a flare gun, the Willits Police Department reported. According to the WPD, officers stopped a vehicle in the Safeway parking lot around 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 15 for “expired registration and additional equipment violations.” The driver was identified as Steven Lawson, 31, of Ukiah, who reportedly admitted that he did not have a valid driver’s license.
