Damascus, SANA- The Damascus International Marathon conclude on Friday with participation of runners from 15 countries. The marathon, which was organized by the Syrian Olympic Committee in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism, started in front of Dama Rose Hotel reached a distance of 42.195 km. The Syrian runner Samer al-Samir won the first place for a distance of 42 km with a time of 3.11 hours, leaving the runner-up to the Swiss Alexander Shires with a time of 3.22 hours then the Polish Piotr Bojka with 3.29 hours, while the US runner Sarah Paul won the woman category for this stage, recording a time of 4.5 hours .
