Mrs. Sherry Nixon Spivey Mrs. Sherry Nixon Spivey, age 68 of Defeated Creek, died Wednesday afternoon, August 31 at Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville.  She is survived by: brother, Michael Nixon and wife Linda of Tanglewood; sister-in-law, Jo Helen Nixon of Cookeville; step-children, Tommy Spivey of Lebanon, Michelle Adkins, David “Bud” Spivey, Diana Rowe all of Louisville, KY; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Spivey will be cremated at Cumberland Family Services and interred at the Nixon Family Cemetery in the Nixon Hollow.  No formal services are planned.
