Three Fresno residents were arrested recently in northern Mendocino County for alleged illegal transportation of marijuana intended for sale, the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office reported. According to the MCSO, desputies responded to the 59000 block of Bell Springs Road in Leggett after a caller reported shortly after 9 p.m. on Aug. 12 that “six Hispanic males were walking on Bell Springs Road carrying rifles and wearing camouflaged clothing.” When deputies contacted the caller, they were told there were “possibly two vehicles involved which were approximately three miles up Bell Springs Road from Highway 101. The vehicles were described as being silver in color and possibly Honda Civics.”
