To the Editor: I was an English teacher in Anderson Valley with over twenty years experience when Michelle Hutchins became the principal of my high school. Michelle brought an impressive knowledge of curriculum, a strong background in classroom technology, and administrative experiences in diverse school settings. Her ideas were fresh and exciting. In what could have been the twilight of my career, I found myself re-energized in the classroom. Her leadership directly benefited our students. Michelle Hutchins now serves as Mendocino County’s Superintendent of Schools. She is seeking re-election. Michelle once taught me that teaching is a craft, that a teacher continually evaluates and refines
