A Special Needs and Elderly Walkway was opened at Al Wakra Public Beach on Sunday by Al Wakra Municipality director engineer Mohamed Hassan al-Neimi. The 85m long, 2m wide walkway project was supervised by engineer Soha Mahmoud, who is in charge of the sustainability file at the municipality. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Netherlands ambassador Marjan Kamstra and the Ministry of Municipality's Public Gardens Department director Mohamed al-Khori.
