The population of Qatar increased to 2.81mn at the end of February 2022 from 2.66mn in February 2021 and 2.79mn during January this year, according to data published by the Planning and Statistics Authority (PSA). Of the total population of 2,811,774 recorded in February 2022, 2,029353 were males and 782,421 females, the PSA data showed. In terms of growth percentage, Qatar’s population in February this year went up by 5.7% as compared to the same month in 2021 (2,660,788) and by 0.7% as compared to January 2021 (2,791,925). In the 98th issue of the Qatar Monthly Statistics bulletin, the PSA said a total of 682 traffic cases were recorded in February 2022, showing a monthly decrease of 4.9%
